Pastor
The Rev. Lisa M. Leber began her call at First Lutheran in August 2013. She is grateful to minister to, with and among people who love good liturgy and music, have a heart for social ministry, and are warm and welcoming to all!
Pastor Leber is a native of Central Pennsylvania and a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Marshall-Wythe School of Law (College of William and Mary) and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. She served as associate pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, from 1995-2000 and under calls to specialized ministry at two Lutheran social ministry organizations between 2000-2013. Pastor Leber serves on the board of Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties and recently served as the treasurer and Finance Committee chair for Safe Harbour, a non-profit serving those experiencing homelessness in Cumberland County. She also chaired the board of the Lutheran Camping Corporation (2018-2021) and was the dean of the former West Cumberland conference. Pastor Leber was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1991 and maintains her license.

Cantor
We welcomed Dr. Stanley M. Wicks as our new part-time cantor in January 2025. Stan received his undergraduate education in church music and organ, with a minor in voice, from Houghton College, Houghton NY, his master’s degree in church music and organ from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton NJ, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in choral music from Arizona State University, Tempe AZ.
Stan served congregations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and North Carolina during his long career as a church musician. He retired in 2020 after more than 20 years as Director of Worship Arts at First United Methodist Church of San Diego, where he directed the entire music ministry and conducted multiple singing and handbell choirs. Stan has been active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for various denominations and civic organizations and an active member of the American Guild of Organists. We are delighted that he has transitioned out of retirement to serve First Lutheran!

Pastoral Assistant
The Rev. Richard Lorenz joined our staff in March 2015 after retiring as the senior pastor of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg. Before serving Trindle Spring, Pastor Lorenz served congregations in New Cumberland and southeastern Pennsylvania. He is married to Marsha and enjoys playing golf, reading and psychology.
Office Manager
Robin Orner has worked in the First Lutheran church office since April 2004. She oversees the congregation’s publications, supports Congregation Council, serves as membership secretary, and keeps things running smoothly. Robin and her husband, Sam, are members of the congregation and volunteer in many of our ministries.

Financial Secretary
Hope Miller has served as our financial secretary since January 2019, after serving as our interim financial secretary in 2015 and 2018. She is responsible for financial record-keeping, accounts payable, budget development, and financial reporting for the congregation. She and her husband, Taylor, are faithful members of First Lutheran and proud parents and grandparents.
