Fine Arts at First – The Ravel Trio – Sunday, September 24, 3 p.m.

Please join us for the opening concert of our 2017-2018 Fine Arts at First series featuring The Ravel Trio!

The Ravel Trio features violinist Simon Maurer, cellist Nancy Baun, and pianist Daniel Lau. Based in Baltimore, the piano trio is hailed internationally for its conversational concert style and musical passion. In addition to frequent tours to Switzerland, the ensemble maintains an active schedule in the Mid-Atlantic region. Each player is an active music educator, accomplished solo artist, and chamber musician with performances at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the Banff Centre for the Arts, the Kennedy Center, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music to name a few. Cellist Nancy Baun has special ties to Carlisle; before moving to Buffalo, NY, she taught at Messiah College and Dickinson College and was a member of the Eaken Piano Trio. The concert will be held as a benefit for Carlisle Meals on Wheels, an organization in the community that provides nutritious meals for seniors who are homebound, ill, or frail.

The concert is free and open to all. Please join us!
